I work with a very large collection offlat paper archives (approx. 100,000 items - prints, drawings, map, ephemera within abt 500 plan chest drawers). Thecollection will move to off-site storage in the next months. I'm looking forideas on how to best to liaise with an external moving company on thecollection move. In particular I’m wondering if anyone has experienced movingplan chests (with or without items inside?)out of a historic building.
