Our museum has a study room where university classes with instructors can
examine artworks up close, often matted but unglazed works on paper that
are displayed vertically on easel-like shelves. We would like to know if
anyone has witnessed or studied accidental saliva spray on unglazed
artworks from examining them closely and talking, or if any museums or
archives take precautions such as making visitors wear face masks.
