Currently, I’m doing research into the use of fillers for wooden panels on
particle boards. I would like to try Mowilith DM427 together with phenolic
microballoons and coconut shell flour (like Young, New and Marchant did in
their article “Experimental Evaluation of Adhesive-Filler Combinations for
Joining Panel Paintings (2009)). Unfortunately, it is really hard to find a
place that sells this type of Mowilith (I’m based in the Netherlands).

I’ve already read on the consdistlist that Mowilith DM427 replaced Mowilith DMC
2. Could it be possible that Mowilith DS 5/2 is another replacement?

A Dutch retailer called the Labshop sells Mowilith DS 5/2 as if it is DMC 2,
mentioning the same composition (vinyl acetate/dibutyl maleate copolymer) and
properties (ph 3,5-4,5, 56% solid particles).

Thank you!
