Hello, I'd like to post the following message.
Thanks Regards *Master of Science in Conservation of Decorative Architectural Surfaces, University of Malta* The University of Malta, Department of Conservation and Built Heritage, is offering a full time Masters Course in Conservation of Decorative Architectural Surfaces (Stone and Wall Paintings), starting in October 2018. The course will be of relevance to graduates in archaeology, history of art, chemistry, biology, physics, architecture or engineering wishing to specialise in conservation and to make it their career. Structure of the programme: A one-year Preparatory Programme, starting in October 2018, is designed specifically to prepare students to commence the MSc in Conservation of Decorative Architectural Surfaces opening the following year (October 2019). It will give students coming from a humanities background the opportunity to familiarise themselves with science-based topics, and conversely, students from a science background the opportunity to familiarise themselves with arts-based subjects. The Preparatory Year is followed by a two-year multidisciplinary course dealing with the conservation of decorative architectural surfaces (including wall paintings, stone, and mosaics). The programme contains an equal balance of theoretical and practical subjects, carried out both throughout the academic years and as summer placements. Big relevance is given to site work. A dissertation will be undertaken in the final year of the course.
