National Gallery of Art:  Contract Opportunity

 
The Conservation Division of the National Gallery of Art in Washington is
seeking a conservator for a contractual agreement to treat a
group of four 19th century American paintings in the Gallery¹s collection.
 Treatment of these works of art is expected to commence in February 2018
and will take approximately 1 year to complete.  All work on the paintings
must take place within the confines of the National Gallery of Art,
Washington, DC.  To be considered, candidates must provide a cover letter,
resume and a link to an on-line portfolio accessible without the need for
a Gallery reviewer to register for an external service provider. Please
send the requested information in PDF format along with the link to a
electronic portfolio to the attention of Michael Skalka, Conservation
Administrator at [email protected]  The deadline for being considered for this
contract opportunity is January 8, 2018. Due to the federal funding
source, applicants must be United States citizens.  The starting date may
be shifted contingent upon final passage by Congress for funding of the
Gallery¹s yearly budget.
