I am a Painting Conservation Intern at the National Gallery of Art in
Washington, DC and I am treating a painting Three Figures Dressed for a
Masquerade, currently attributed to Louis-Joseph Le Lorrain.

The painting has no signature and has had various attributions in the past,
including anonymous Venetian. I would like to find support for or against the
attribution to Le Lorrain, so I am looking for information about his technique.

Has anyone treated and/or analyzed any easel paintings by this artist and would
you be willing to share some thoughts about the materials you found?

Please contact: [email protected]

Thank you in advance for any help you are willing to provide.

Best regards,
Joanna Strombek
