I am looking for someone who has expertise on pressed flowers and other botanicals that are found in archival collections.
The items we are presented with come in a range of formats including: specimens loose in modern bond packets, specimens sew to various paper supports, and specimens attached to paper supports with varying pressure sensitive tapes or adhesives. In most cases the specimens are extremely brittle and friable. Any ideas on how to preserve these items or a person to contact would be greatly appreciated. -------------------- Anne Downey, MA, CAS Head of Conservation American Philosophical Society 105 South 5th Street <https://maps.google.com/?q=105+South+5th+Street+Philadelphia,+PA+19106&entry=gmail&source=g> Philadelphia, PA 19106 <https://maps.google.com/?q=105+South+5th+Street+Philadelphia,+PA+19106&entry=gmail&source=g> Telephone: 215.440-3412 <(215)%20599-4299> Email: [email protected] <[email protected]> ****** Unsubscribe by sending a message to [email protected] Searchable archives: http://cool.conservation-us.org/byform/mailing-lists/cdl/
