The Canadian Association of Professional Conservators (CAPC) is pleased to announce new CAPC Emerging Conservators Grants.
Outline: The CAPC is supporting emerging conservators by offering grants to assist with advanced studies and professional development. Applicants must be current students or have graduated within the past three years from a recognized conservation program, and be Canadian residents. Grants will be awarded for conservation-related activities such as research, specialized certification, workshops, lectures and conference attendance. Description: The maximum to be awarded in any given year will be $500. This may be awarded to one individual or divided between several applicants at the discretion of the Board. Applicants must fill out a grant application, which will require a description of the activity and the related costs. The successful applicants will receive the amount requested prior to the event. Within two months following the activity, applicants must submit receipts related to the grant along with any funds not used. Applicants must also submit to the CAPC board a brief report (maximum 500 words) describing their activity. The selection and the amount of funding will be approved by the Board of Directors. Each year the Board of Directors will review and approve the continuation of the program and the funds available. Deadlines: The application deadline is March 1st of each year. If no grants are awarded at that time, the next deadline will be June 1st of each year. If you have any questions or comments about this program, please contact the CAPC Treasurer at treasu...@capc-acrp.ca <mailto:treasu...@capc-acrp.ca>.
