The Thirteenth Infrared and Raman User's Group (IRUG 13) conference will be 
held at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, December 5-7, 
2018.
The conference will include oral and poster presentations addressing all 
aspects of the application of infrared and Raman spectroscopies to the study of 
cultural artefacts and their preservation, as well as applications in forensic 
science.
Deadline for submission of 500-word abstracts for papers & posters:  June 1, 
2018

Further information for registration, social events, accommodation and 
transportation is forthcoming and will be published soon at the Conference

Registration will be available from 16 July. Numbers are limited.

Student:           AUS $275
Accompanying (Welcoming drinks and conference dinner only):     AUS $220

Posters are also being accepted for submission please indicate via submission 
email if you would prefer poster format over oral presentation
A selection of papers may be published as post prints in a peer reviewed 
journal dedicated to the IRUG 2018 conference
Registration fees as previously announced did not include local taxes. These 
have now been included in fee schedule above.
Registration includes welcoming drinks and conference dinner.
The conference dinner on the evening of 6th December at Athol Hall, Mosman; a 
fine dining experience situated on Sydney Harbour overlooking the Harbour 
Bridge, city and Sydney Opera House.
Guests will take a local ferry to Taronga Wharf and stroll through bushland to 
arrive at Athol Hall, a recently restored 1920s dance hall.
Canapés and drinks to be served on the veranda followed by a three course 
dinner & drinks.
A spectacular light display will be revealed as the sun goes down over the city 
and water during the evening.
There will be local excursions offered to a number of heritage and conservation 
venues one afternoon of the conference (there may be a small fee for transport)
