____________ This petition has been drawn up by Silvia Pugliese, book conservator at the Marciana National Library in Venice, Melissa Moreton, Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa Center for the Book [UICB], and Alberto Campagnolo, CLIR Fellow at the Library of Congress, to enthusiastically request that the UICB Papermaking Facility resume production of the much-loved and internationally coveted PC4 case paper. There is simply no substitute for its strength, versatility, flexibility and durability! PC4 has been included, over the years, in several important international distributors’ catalogues. These distributors are eager to offer this product again, and conservators are eager to use it again. It is specified for use in repairs by many conservation labs, that are now unable to source PC4 paper.
