Dear Colleagues,

In order to refine our approach to care, maintenance and display of some of our
collection items, I am looking for input from anyone with experience working
with artwork/ installation artwork containing an olfactive dimension.

Main issues I would be interested hearing/learning/ discussing are:
- Discussion/decision in regard to space requirements where to install such
work: as odour always generates an immersive experience, in other words also
delaminating a space, I would be interested learning about how decision was
made on maximum size of the gallery where artwork should be installed, on
potential impacts on adjacent collection items, ...;
- Approach developed to document/monitor olfactive feature, in terms of type
and intensity;
- Approach(es) to preserve the odour if assessed as a significant feature of
the artwork.

I thank you in advance for your generosity sharing your experience!
Please do not hesitate to contact me directly.

Best regards,

Christel Pesme
