Dear Cons Dist List community,

I am Giovanna Di Giacomo and I work at Street Art Today, a street art
agency that is currently building the biggest street art museum in the
world in Amsterdam. At the moment, we have a collection of 200
artworks, with huge dimensions, such as 9x5 meters. New artworks are
constantly being produced, so our collection is always growing.

My role at the museum is collection management and research, which
includes extensive work regarding the conservation of our collection.
Due to conservation concerns, we are urgently looking for a new
material to use as a canvas for our paintings, which lasts as long as
possible.

Some aspects to keep in mind:
- The paints used on it are most of the times spray paint, acrylic
paint and latex paint.
- The new material must be flexible.
- It must be available in dimensions, which allow us to build 9x5
meters canvas and possibly bigger.
- The aging process must be slow.
- It must be affordable, considering that we have a low budget.
- If possible, it must be a material that doesn't require much
environment control (humidity/temperature control).

Some materials that I was recommended to:
- Scenographic fabric, which is used as a background in theater,
operas...
- General Polyester fabrics
- Polyester non woeven material
- Sailing cloth
- Polieteline fabric
- Polipropoline fabric

So I would like to ask your ideas and insights about this topic.
Mostly, I would really appreciate if you could give me recommendations
of brands that supply these fabrics or any other fabric that you
consider suitable to our needs.

Thank you so much for your help!

Best regards,

GIOVANNA DI GIACOMO
