Based in Clerkenwell and administered by the City of London, its holdings run to around 100km of documents from 1067 to the present. LMA holds local government and other records for the Greater London area and the City of London. These collections have been awarded designated status by the Arts Council. LMA is an Accredited Archive Service. LMA is recruiting for a full time permanent Assistant Conservator to work on various projects. The post holder will be required to carry out basic conservation treatments on the full range of formats present in the collections and specialise in box making for an average of approximately 70% of work time, to work effectively with all members of the Conservation team, to maintain and improve the storage of collections and apply preservation policies as directed. Required Skills: You will have a recognised qualification in the fields of paper, archive or book conservation or equivalent. Experience of working in an archive would be an advantage.
