It's conserving a magnificent history that will be enjoyed by future
generations.

It's working with a shared and unique purpose, and it's caring for and
presenting one of the world's largest art collections. This is what makes
working for Royal Collection Trust so different.

The Royal Collection contains an unparalleled collection of nearly 8,000
paintings and 3,000 miniatures.

Our team of talented Paintings Conservators is responsible for all conservation
activities relating to the paintings displayed within the Royal residences as
well for loans from the Paintings collection.

Immersing yourself in this fascinating collection, you'll carry out vital
painting conservation treatments, using the best methods and materials to
restore and conserve works of art to the very highest standards.

You'll fully assess paintings in the collection, compiling condition reports
and determining any conservation needed, as well as keeping our expanding
database updated.

Liaising with colleagues across the department, you'll plan and co-ordinate
conservation treatments ensuring they are scheduled and carried out in line
with our busy programme of loans and exhibitions.

You'll also make sure paintings are stored, transported and displayed correctly.

What's more, you'll be proud to share and promote the work of the department,
delivering talks and providing material for our website that aim to inspire and
engage the broadest audience possible.

You'll aim for perfection in all that you do. And knowing that you're helping
to preserve a collection that will be enjoyed by future generations will be
your biggest reward.
