2019 AIC Annual Meeting: Call for Papers Textile Specialty Group (TSG) The deadline of September 15th is coming up soon
The Textile Specialty Group (TSG) of the American Institute for Conservation (AIC) seeks abstracts for papers to be presented at the AIC 47th Annual Meeting in New England May 13– 17, 2019. This year the overall meeting theme is “New Tools, Techniques, and Tactics in Conservation and Collections Care.” Submissions of original work related to this theme are encouraged, although papers otherwise related to the conservation of textiles will be considered. Suggested topic ideas for 2019 include: • New approaches to conservation treatment and mounts for textiles and dress • Advances in textile and dress collections care and storage • Lessons learned and discoveries from new tools used in textile conservation The online abstract submission portal is now open. The submission portal and guidelines are accessible here: www.conservation-us.org/abstracts<http://www.conservation-us.org/abstracts>. When you have logged into the portal, choose "abstract submissions," which include both talks and posters. The submission deadline for paper abstracts is Friday, September 15, 2018 11:59 PM EDT. Abstracts should be 500 words maximum. In the case of multiple authors, please list all authors and include an email address for each author.
