AIC 47th Annual Meeting
13-17 May, 2019
New England

The Sustainability Committee (SC) seeks abstracts for papers to be
presented at the upcoming AIC Annual Meeting in Uncasville, CT and New
England, May 13-17, 2019. This year's theme is "New Tools, Techniques, and
Tactics in Conservation and Collection Care." Submission of original
research and work related to the theme are welcome, and any submissions
related to sustainable conservation and preservation will be considered.

Topic ideas include:

- How does sustainability affect how you select, use, and dispose of
materials?

- Have you developed any new tools or tactics to make your practice more
sustainable?

- Have you implemented more sustainable practices in your institution?

- How does environmental, social, or economic sustainability affect your
practice in a way now that it did not previously?

- What conservation techniques you have tried—successfully or not—to make
sustainable?

Interested authors may submit abstracts directly to the Sustainability
session or to the open call for papers through the OpenWater abstract
submission portal
