The Hermitage Museum (St. Petersburg) set up a very large "satellite"
museum in Holland about 10? years ago, highlighting the Czar's court
amusements. Much of the display included many ball gowns and uniforms.
I'm pretty sure that some of the ball gowns were "animated" on rotating
stands with appropriate music every hour or so.
