Time is of the essence! There are still spaces available in Helping Puerto Rican Heritage (HPRH). We need to get a final tally of participants to complete the planning process. If you already have received registration materials, please submit them by the end of this weekend. If you have not, a succinct description of HPRH, including a copy of the Program, is located on our GoFundMe page https://www.gofundme.com/helping-puerto-rican-heritage.
Our efforts will be focused in two general directions, educational opportunities in conservation in Puerto Rico, and offering advice on collections preservation and care to museums and historic sites, including an "Angels"-type project at an historic house museum. Registration in Helping Puerto Rican Heritage is open to all graduates of recognized masters degree conservation programs, as well as AIC Professional Associates and Fellows or equivalent international professional designations. We will hold open several of the slots for students. Priority will be given to graduate students in a conservation program, followed by pre-graduate (post BA/S) interns. We want to have a wide range of specialties and experiences represented. Our hope is that this will not all be tedious "work", but will also provide opportunities to relax, explore, and forge new connections and friendships.
