Dear colleagues,
the conservation science department of the Deutsches Museum is starting
a research project on the effect of low-temperature storage on
three-dimensional cellulose nitrate objects (3D-CN).
Our museum has a large 3D-CN collection and our aim is to find adequate
storage solutions to slow down their degradation and to reduce the
emission of indoor pollutants.
The small number of published studies dedicated to this topic and the
limited amount of time make the selection of variables to be
investigated during the project rather challenging.
Furthermore it would be very interesting for us to learn how the storage
of CN objects is being handled at other institutions.
We have prepared a small query (5 min), which we kindly ask you to
answer in this link: https://www.surveymonkey.de/r/7DKKSB7[1
<https://www.surveymonkey.de/r/7DKKSB7>]
Please let us know if you are interested in the results of this query
and the further development of our investigation.
Thank you very much for your precious time and help. I look forward to
hearing from you.
Kind regards
Teresa Donner
