Hi, I have been asked to restore a gold record whose backing has gotten moldy and whose label has come off. I soaked the record and backing in distilled water and within a few hours the record came free from the backing and I could see that the record was metal and not vinyl. I would like advice on how to adhere a new label to the record. The only adhesive I have on hand is Scotch 3M Positionable Mounting Adhesive, will this work to adhere semi-gloss paper to the metal of the record?
