Northumbria University offers a five day workshop and a new option for a 3
day workshop, please get in touch for more information.

Learn to recreate the striking beauty of mediaeval panel paintings using
traditional methods such as egg tempera and gold leaf.

Northumbria University Art Conservation team are delighted to welcome
conservators, artists, teachers, art historians, students - even with
little, or no experience of historic techniques, participants can fully
immerse themselves in the sumptuous colours, materials and techniques used
by mediaeval artists and craftsmen. Learning will take place in a friendly
relaxed atmosphere surrounded by charming stained glass windows and
decorative wooden paneling of a Grade II listed building in the heart of
Northumbria City Campus in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.

All the materials required will be provided at the venue. At the end of the
week you will have a beautifully crafted reconstruction to take away, which
can make the ideal gift for friends or family, simply keep forever as a
memento, or even use as a basis for further practical research in the
future.
