Hello Colleagues, Our local consortium of four academic libraries is reconsidering our shared disaster assistance agreement. We are looking for examples of agreements that cover broad issues such as workers comp, liability, overtime, supply and equipment sharing, etc. We are particularly interested in samples of agreements between a mix of public and private organizations. No documentation will be shared beyond our task force members without express permission.
What this isn't: We don't need examples of cross training, training modules, info on how to respond to a library or archive disaster, etc. We have those in place. What this is: We need examples of consortium-wide agreements that cover how/when we contact each other during an emergency; how we can share equipment and supplies, and how reimbursement happens for supplies; what happens if someone is injured on the job if they are working at another institution, etc. This is a higher level document than a disaster plan, it's more of a contractual agreement between libraries that states how we will help each other, when we will help, and how we manage financial and personnel issues.
