For my dissertation as part of the MPhil in Textile Conservation at the University of Glasgow, I am investigating the use of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) film, also known as Relic Wrap, Teflon Tape or Plumbers Tape, specifically looking at its dimensional stability.
Due to the limited publication on the use of PTFE in conservation, I am asking heritage professionals and particularly conservators from across conservation disciplines to complete a survey to better understand how the material is being used. This will help to contextualise the research, as well as allowing any recommendations made to be specific to the context it is being used in.
