The uses of nanotechnology in paper conservation: a workshop review and hands-on session
You are invited to join Akiko Yamazaki-Kreps and Jennifer Sainato for a half-day session on the uses of nanotechnologies in conservation with a focus on the treatment of paper-based materials. When: August 16, 2019 12pm-4pm Where: Center for Jewish History, 15 West 16th Street, Manhattan Cost: Free Jennifer and Akiko will each provide a brief overview of recent nanomaterials workshops they attended: Remy Dreyfuss-Deseigne's Nanocellulose Films in Conservation and Piero Baglioni and Rodorico Giorgi's Nanotechnologies for Conservation. Afterwards, attendees will have the opportunity to experiment mending with 3-4 different nanocellulose films and a variety of adhesives as well as cast their own nanocellulose sheet.
