Modular Cleaning Program Workshop Led by Chris Stavroudis, 16th-20th September 2019 The Prince Philip Maritime Collection Centre, Kidbrooke Icon Paintings Group will hold a Modular Cleaning Program Workshop led by Chris Stavroudis on the week of 16th – 20th September 2019. The Modular Cleaning Program (MCP) Workshop is an intensive week - half lectures and half hands-on activities. Topics covered are: aqueous cleaning (chemistry of water, acids and bases, conductivity and ionic strength, chelators, and surfactants); solvent theory and Carbopol solvent gels; polymeric stabilised emulsions; silicone solvents; and cleaning acrylic paint surfaces. Everyone will learn to use the MCP software package. Over the course of the workshop, participants will mix the concentrate solutions used in the MCP for aqueous cleaning. Each participant will leave with a set of the MCP concentrates so they can start employing them, as appropriate, in their studios.
