Conservation Librarian/Book and Paper Conservator

The University of Michigan Library <https://www.lib.umich.edu/> is seeking a
Conservation Librarian/Book and Paper Conservator who will be responsible
for the conservation of bound books, maps, documents, and other materials
in the library’s special collections. The position has a primary focus of
conservation treatment, preservation management, and research and outreach
on current library conservation issues and practices. The Conservation
Librarian coordinates with other conservation and library staff to manage
and support the care, use, and exhibition of special collections. The scope
of expertise is principally bound books and documents on paper including
prints, drawings, maps, and manuscripts, but may have related expertise in
the conservation of photographic materials, documents on vellum or papyrus,
or other library/archive materials.
