INAF - Astronomical Observatory of Palermo is pleased to announce the workshop “Preventive conservation in museums, libraries and archives: scientific collections as a case study”, jointly organised by the National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF) and by the University of Palermo. It will take place in Palermo, Italy, from 16 to 18 October 2019. The workshop will be highly interdisciplinary and is conceived as an opportunity for comparison among operators involved in the management and protection of museums, libraries and documentary collections. It intends to stimulate dialogue, debate and sharing of experiences and knowledge with the aim of bridging the gap between scientific research and conservative practice.
