Icon is looking for a new Chair and Trustees to join its Board in 2020.
They will to help deliver our current strategy and develop its future
direction. These are both voluntary positions with reasonable expenses
reimbursed. Most meetings are in London.

Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Institute of Conservation

Our new Chair will be an enterprising and passionate supporter of cultural
heritage to lead the organisation through a period of growth and change.
This fulfilling role will appeal to a people-focused individual with a
well-developed understanding and real appreciation of conservation. You
will welcome the opportunity to actively engage with our membership at this
period in Icon’s development and you will have the experience, vision,
skills and enthusiasm to help us shape our next strategy and deliver
sustainable financial growth.

The application is open to anyone with an understanding of and dedication
to conservation principles and who supports Icon's values and mission of
delivering "Advocacy, Excellence and Engagement" in conservation. Icon
members are particularly encouraged to apply and take on this important

Co-opted Trustees of the Institute of Conservation

We are looking for two new Co-opted Trustees to bring strength and
experience to the Board. Icon's Board of 16 comprises a majority of
professional conservators and a number of Co-opted Trustees from outside
the field, who are not members of Icon. Icon’s Trustees have ultimate
responsibility for the organisation and are both charity trustees and the
directors of the charitable company.

We particularly welcome applicants who have experience in some of these
areas:

Financial management, either in a commercial or charitable environment,
including familiarity with management accounts, financial risk and project
finance;
Fund raising, with experience with fundraising, donations, legacies and
membership campaigns;
Marketing communications, including social media; and
Organisational change, as Icon addresses future opportunities and
challenges.
