Hello list, despite a significant drop in the list traffic, activity didn't stop, far from it. Here is a short update on the current actions and upcoming topics.
1. User Data Manifesto 2. Wiki 3. SocketHub * 1. User Data Manifesto Frank Karlitschek, proponent of the UDM, accepted to pass it under the critical scrutiny of this list, and we are working together at clarifying the terms and concepts conveyed by this manifesto. That is in fact our first public collaborative work, and I'm grateful to Frank to have taken this first step. The original UDM sits at http://userdatamanifesto.org/. The discussion thread is: [RFC][SH] User Data Manifesto 2. Wiki The GNU/consensus maintains a wiki on LibrePlanet, where ideas and resources can be posted, pre-empting or following the discussion on the mailing list. http://libreplanet.org/wiki/GNU/consensus For example, the Stakeholders' page on the wiki mentions projects and organizations that could become official stakeholders or partners, and need to be contacted. http://libreplanet.org/wiki/GNU/consensus/stakeholders#Software_Projects When addressing wiki contents in the mailing list, you can prefix your message Subject with [wiki]. 3. SocketHub Elf Pavlik pointed me to SocketHub, a project by Nick Jennings released under the AGPL. Nick builds on the UnHosted platform to propose an universal web hub that is polyglot and can connect to various federated web platforms, and also beyond, a bit like Psyced does. I'm eager to hear more about this project here from his author! https://github.com/sockethub/sockethub For this topic, please mention in the Subject: [SH] sockethub. * Please have a look at the wiki, and keep the right ideas pouring in :) You're welcome to join the conversation: http://libreplanet.org/wiki/GNU/consensus/mailing-list == hk
