I had a similar experience, and also the issue that Twitter users would not play ball and use Identi.ca as well. There was also the case of this journalist who was an avid user of Google Reader, and he realized at some point that although he could move his subscriptions from Google Reader to any other RSS service or application thanks to the OPML file offered by Google Checkout, he could not do anything for the thousands of users who were using his subscriptions, nor the larger number of websites (including his) who were pointing to his Google Reader feeds and individual articles. http://libreplanet.org/wiki/GNU/consensus/berlin-2013#Integration_of_old_friends_on_legacy_networks is only addressing part of the picture. == hk -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.12 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Icedove - http://www.enigmail.net/ iQIcBAEBCgAGBQJSEoabAAoJEEgGw2P8GJg9HAgP/i9870+tJUl6h37622bL2nnh Bwb/RDIAwURRHvGfnJpU/ljxFHUSI7IndBNC3ZH2FGjRd50AGqAe+4lMlRS88fkp L7LrLnq845u4U37D44FXBLBy+wMJ9rcYl1KyGE7Cbnlylt+Hr+kNPG1GdmtSQwje an5C38eMmiyuh/jQvaTZKo0bEsC5IcHvWjTdAWmqEMsbeiCQOE8Snm/ioeh9fLtt xd6WccMkBKKZ/vjuwBE2sodc+meYqSPygX6JUMHJsMH9UDdHFZMjfp6Tg+qjH40V sZdFUMlhXjV9D5tphBYaLj87Phagw/FUx0ZfYj7x81+/F4akqNOC35gh9X+2sATX SDLYEA7OCoM9gm8+9UciNm/YO0J8oQk6LkceSF+Xzeiv344x0WFfzM9D1RPGwVwW XtiiXbrBn5V8OKP4w05YWltVDtEc3b0ipiXu8FmViwVRFOtKbRC3S7nDXqdUw573 iU3c9lIR99bAuWj/ARmo6ooYNvlKdaLdEXxRnegn6cM8enTbAVX7s23/8Im2hlb8 LGhZXTQ98kdG5uK0nD1+hn2++B6z+HII0/qppHf+M7Eg4UDCidTqnXxLmeqe4B6P lsbuWDXuKDN9K2gDlmjZ52AcT+x6srVU2MAPGoKkuRVg0xL5IKnX9LkeiEFCmipC NY+Szf//aJcBehPZtFVZ =nwb2 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
