Hello
We are preparing to fire up our blast freezer for the first time in a few
years. The engineer wants to do a test run with two full pallets of records
within the freezer to time the ability of the freezer to go from room
temperature to -40 C. We are going to use boxes of records ready for
destruction for this test run. I am curious if others have any tips or advice
on polyethylene thickness or formats and tapes to use in preparing items for
freezing. I was looking at Jumbo Zip Lock bags in the hope that they could be
reusable, but fear that the "zip" function may not be durable enough for reuse.
Since this is a test, I might also want to try various methods to compare
results. Any feedback from those with experience in using a blast freezer for
pest eradication would be welcome. Feel free to contact me off list.
