There is a conference on wax modelling (https://www.waxmodelling.com/) which
has featured several talks on wax object conservation previously, these can be
found in the post-prints. Please get in touch directly and I can send you more
details.

Subject: Conservation and restoration of wax sculptures

Hello,

My name is Catarina Carvão and I am a conservation student at the University
NOVA of Lisbon. For my master thesis, I am studying a contemporary artwork
composed of several sculptures made of wax. Unfortunately, due to an exposure
to high temperature (c. 40º C) and light during their exhibition, some
sculptures have loose their original shape, being now deformed. I am writing to
know if someone knows of similar cases or has any experience with this kind of
damage that could recommend a possible solution to recover the sculptures shape
(for instance, by producing replicas). Also, I would like to share some
thoughts with expertise in wax figures conservation in order to discuss this
challenging case. I started to contact several wax museums but so far, I am not
having any luck.

Kind regards
