This research, conducted in collaboration with Maurizio Aceto, Franois Pacha-Miran, Maryam Shafiei Alavijeh, Amlie Couvrat Desvergnes, Francesca Robotti, and Elisa Cal, examines the historical significance of Folium, a fascinating organic colorant, and its presence in Persian and Islamic manuscripts. Through historical recipes, reconstructions, and material analysis, our study contributes to a deeper understanding of manuscript traditions and their technical heritage.
