Hello everyone,

Before there was Barrow, there was Francis Walcott Reed Emery, a manufacturer
of blank books in Taunton, MA in the 1890's.  Mr. Emery developed a document
preservation process based on silk lamination, but added paraffin to the
process in order to make it "unique" and patentable.  I have found some
references

but I am hoping there is more information out there.  Maybe even someone who
treated this type of lamination?

I appreciate any information my colleagues have to share,

Best,

Eliza
