Subject: Community Survey-Help Us Explore Research Impact in Heritage Science
Message: 📣 Calling colleagues from the Heritage Science community.

Our field is deeply connected to museums, galleries, archives, libraries,
archaeological sites, built heritage, and related industries - but how do we
define and evaluate carefully the real impact of our work within these contexts?

I am inviting you to participate in a survey exploring how we perceive, plan,
and achieve research impact in Heritage Science.

We welcome contributions from all professionals in this field, including those
from academia, research institutions, industry/SMEs, self-employed
practitioners, policy or funding organizations, and others.

I will be presenting and discussing the results of this survey during a
dedicated roundtable at "Chemistry for Cultural Heritage 2026", the biennial
conference of the Working Party on Chemistry for Cultural Heritage (WP ChemCH)
of EuChemS, taking place in Bled (June 8–11, 2026). In addition, a summary of
the main results will be also available in the website of the conference.

📝 The survey is open until May 11 and takes only a few minutes to complete

Your input is extremely valuable.

We may have missed some perspectives in this survey, but the upcoming
discussion in Bled will help us fill those gaps.

We truly hope it reflects the diversity of our international community and
sparks meaningful conversations on how we can maximize the impact we generate
in the field.

Let's build the future of our field together!

Thanks very much for your time and contribution.

Kind regards,

Greetings colleagues,

We have come down to the last few sheets of Dove Grey 80 pound paper and have
not been able to find a vendor to restock. So far, we've identified Heritage
Archival pHotokraft- Old Grey Ivory as a likely replacement since it's archival
properties make it suitable for lining the inside of cloth clam shell boxes or
pastedowns/ endpapers in some conservation bindings. We don't 100% love the
color however, and the cost of shipping from the UK might be problematic. We
looked at some Mohawk papers but none have passed the PAT that we know of. If
there are others in the community who are in the same boat and have found an
alternative to Dove Grey 80 pound, we would appreciate hearing from you.

Cheers,

eliza

Are you referring to the Dove Grey endpaper that was made by Archivart in the
1980s and 1990s? It was an excellent paper and I still have a few sheets left.
I was also curious about finding a supplier or replacement paper and came
across a wrapping/endpaper product sold by Carr McLean out of Toronto that is
referred to as Dove Grey in colour.
https://www.carrmclean.ca/wrapping-endleaf-paper.html. It might be worth
following up on.
