I think running the ADB itself in the cloud has some potential, however I am
not sure if it will really be a widely used use case. The question in my mind
is, beyond the code required for a build (which docker and OpenShift (iirc) can
side load) is there a need to map or provide local data to a container for
testing?
Assuming there is, which at least for me tends to be my use case, then the AWS
execution is less appealing. That said, we may be able to use SSHFS or
something similar and render this mostly moot.
The real interesting use case for me is with K8s and OpenShift to have a local
ADB that acts as a master for remotely executing minions/nodes. I think this
is something we should explore as a lower priority item.
This exploration can also lead to interesting things with other arches (I'm
looking at you ARM) where we can have a master on the local machine deploying
to nodes on the alt arch.
