LOL, I've asked the same question today. For CDK 3 we really would need a 
way to get to the oc binary as well. In fact minishift / CDK 3 caches and 
installs
the matching oc binary into your ~/.minishift directory. At least in the 
community version.

We then offer (work in progress) a 'minishift oc-env' which dumps the export 
command 
you have to run to add the matching 'oc' binary onto your path. Really that is 
a big
step forward imo from a usability point of view.

That said, right now we are also missing the ability to download the matching 
oc binary 
using just free subscription credentials. For me this is a blocker. We used to 
have this 
even pre CDK 2.3, but I don't think we ever got a proper solution for this.
