My understanding of the world was "that's what Sugar Hill is for"--a regional 'magnet weekend' where aspiring bands and aspiring callers get a slot awarded by lottery. Weekend organizers are there to dance, and either organizers can introduce themselves to callers, or callers can introduce themselves to organizers and say "I'm looking to call regional-level weekends."
Do other regions have a Sugar Hill equivalent?
