In Happy as a Cold Pig in Warm Mud, the allemande 1 1/2 and the 1 3/4 can causes the excitement. I suspect emphasizing one's shadow can help a bit. But the direction change at the end of set guarantees temporary chaos. Happy also appears in the "MIdwest Folklore" book mentioned in my response to Woody
