Feels more contemporary contra than colonial-flavored, but a full
interrupted square through would probably do the trick? (Face partner
across, right hand balance (4), pull by partner right (2), pull by current
neighbor left (2), face partner across and repeat.) Timing is tight and so
it'll require some careful teaching, but I bet it could work!
