Just installed on a test server, as user admin with password admin does indeed
not work.
But admin with the SME admin/root password does work.
And after doing a yum info installed smeserver-phpmyadmin you get the right
information as part of the description:
Access with admin username/password via: https://yourdomain/phpmyadmin.
So that's actually a documentation bug.
