final lines of dar log including "state change" alert

At the end of the DAR2 process, what appears to be the final step to complete
the archive fails with a "corrupt header" error.

The target of the DAR2 operation is a Mac OS X 10.5.6 server. Per suggestions
in the apple forums,
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=8724433#8724433, I have
added "acl check permissions = no" to the smb.conf on the osx server.
Unfortunately that did not turn the trick and I have posted another note there.

In the log I spotted something new that may relate to SME and/or DAR2. Please
refer to the attachment "DAR2 Log". In the file please note the "state change"
alert preceding the smb_add_request time out messages. There you will find
comments regarding the kernel modules not enabled.

Does this relate to the abnormal termination of the DAR2 operation?
