Installed as follows:
yum install --enablerepo=smecontribs smeserver-userpanel
The rpm appeared to install correctly with no complaints from yum.
the rpm that was installed was smeserver-userpanel-0.9-11.el4.sme
after signal-event post-upgrade and reboot, the entry "User Panel Access"
appears under the "Security" block in Server Manager. (note: the documentation
at http://www.dungog.net/wiki/Usermanager#User_Manager suggests that it should
have appeared under server-manager > remote access > user panel access, but the
screenshot shows it under the "Security" block.) Whenever you attempt to modify
a user's access to various Server Manager features, the following message
appears :
Proxy Error
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request POST
/server-manager/cgi-bin/userpanelaccess.

The only unusual thing about this server is that it was previously running SME
6.01 , and the config databases and user accounts were transferred as part of
the restore process detailed by http://wiki.contribs.org/UpgradeDisk, "Moving
from 6.x to 7.x". The original rpm installed on the 6.01 server was
e-smith-userpanel-1.6.0-1.noarch.rpm.
/etc/e-smith/events/actions/conf-userpanelsymlinks is size 3,109, dated
10/21/2006, and copyrighted 2001 Daniel van Raay.
