affa entry of the messages log showing some of the excess lines

AFFA fills the SME messages log with not very useful self-audit stuff.
Is there anything I can or should be doing to stop this happening?
It occurs for all the JOBs and I have many JOBs running.
Makes inspection of the messages log for any real trouble quite difficult.
I have default global for debug set to no.
Each new JOB debug is set to no.
Wki says how to enable debug but not how to disable it.
But affa continues to fill up my messages log with irrelevant 'report' lines.
When I try to use the debug command affa responds with the generic help.
