Yes, it seems there is a bug. Thanks for pointing it. Please raise a bug about
it in the bugtrack.

I think the problem is that the directory /home/httpd/html/webftp/tmp should
bee owned by www.www and is owned by root.root

Try to change it and tell me if it is ok.

[quote/]

Above is copied from a thread in the forum.

I installed the package using Yum with the following commands

 yum install --enablerepo=smecontribs smeserver-phpwebftp

 signal-event post-upgrade; signal-event reboot

then as described above i changed the user and group for the
/home/httpd/html/webftp/tmp directory.

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 283 Feb 8 14:22 config.inc.php
-rw-r--r-- 1 root www 18358 Nov 29 2006 gpl.txt
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Feb 8 14:19 img
drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 4096 Feb 8 14:19 include
-rw-r--r-- 1 root www 38608 Nov 29 2006 index.php
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Feb 8 14:19 style
drw-r----- 2 www www 4096 Dec 14 2006 tmp

I then logged in the webftp and uploaded a file to the home directory for the
user account. worked OK.

I then atempted to download the same file ad i receive "Error downloading file"
on a blank white page.

Hope this is more helpful
