By the way... I have removed the app:
yum remove smeserver-phpwebftp
signal-event post-upgrade; signal-event reboot
And then re-installed:
yum install --enablerepo=smecontribs smeserver-phpwebftp
signal-event post-upgrade; signal-event reboot
then ran
chown www.www /home/httpd/html/webftp/tmp
and I am still getting the same error and the dir structure looks like:
ls -l /home/httpd/html/webftp
total 80
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 285 Mar 2 14:52 config.inc.php
-rw-r--r-- 1 root www 18358 Nov 28 2006 gpl.txt
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Mar 2 14:48 img
drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 4096 Mar 2 14:48 include
-rw-r--r-- 1 root www 38608 Nov 28 2006 index.php
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Mar 2 14:48 style
drw-r----- 2 www www 4096 Dec 13 2006 tmp
I was able to fix it by also doing a:
chmod 740 /home/httpd/html/webftp/tmp
