Summary: zarafa-licensed does not start automatically
Classification: Contribs
Product: SME Contribs
Version: 7.4
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Unknown
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: smeserver-zarafa
AssignedTo: [email protected]

I istalled smeserver-zarafa on an uptodate SME8.5B system,
version:0.9.0-46.el4.sme.
The zarafa-licensed server does not start automatically. If I start the
/etc/rc7.d/S99zarafa-licensed there is no response. If I start the service by
executing /etc/init.d/S99zarafa-licensed it starts as expected. All other
zarafa-services do start automatically.
In the server.log after every restart:
Sun Mar 7 14:04:56 2010: WARNING: zarafa-licensed not running, commercial
features will not be available until it's started. In practice everything works
fine except the outlook connector (which I need of course).
I set the debug level of the licensed.log to 5. The logs shows only my manual
attempts:
Sun Mar 7 13:09:32 2010: Starting zarafa-licensed version 6,40,0,18871
(18871), pid 4643
Sun Mar 7 13:09:32 2010: Serial in '/etc/zarafa/license' is invalid. Assuming
default 3-user license
Sun Mar 7 13:09:32 2010: License is for 3 Win32 MAPI users
Sun Mar 7 13:11:34 2010: Exiting
My interpretation is that the startup from rc7.d (which invokes the
/etc/rc.d/init.d/e-smith-service) just does not function for some reason.
Unfortunatly I do not have the detailed knowledge of the e-smith-service
startup sequence to deal with this issue.
additional info:
zarafa.i386 version 6.40.0-18871.
smeserver-zarafa 0.9.0-46.el4.sme
Starting this service manually is an acceptable workaround. I am h
