There's not yet a specific section for contribs in Sme8 so I put it here.
On Sme 8b5 I install Mailman contrib as per the Wiki instructions.
The installed version are:
[r...@sme8b5 ~]# rpm -qa | grep mailman
smeserver-mailman-1.3.0-29.el4.sme
mailman-2.1.9-4.el5
When trying to access the Mailman administration page I get the error:
Mailman CGI error!!!
The Mailman CGI wrapper encountered a fatal error. This entry is being stored
in your syslog:
Group mismatch error. Mailman expected the CGI wrapper script to be
executed as one of the following groups:
[apache],
but the system's web server executed the CGI script as group: "www".
Try tweaking the web server to run the script as one of these groups:
[apache],
or re-run configure providing the command line option:
'--with-cgi-gid=www'.
On Sme 7.4 the same install and I get:
[r...@sme74 ~]# rpm -qa | grep mailman
smeserver-mailman-1.3.0-29.el4.sme
mailman-2.1.5.1-34.rhel4.6.el4.sme
Then I can correctly access the Mailman web page.
It seems that mailman-2.1.9-4.el5 does not fit with
smeserver-mailman-1.3.0-29.el4.sme.
