Priority: P3
Bug ID: 6947
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: DAR2 contrib dar2-mc plugin does not allow midnight
commander to browse dar files
QA Contact: [email protected]
Severity: normal
Classification: Contribs
OS: ---
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: ---
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: development (8.x)
Component: smeserver-dar2
Product: SME Contribs
Installed sme8.0 final as upgrade over sme8b7. Installed smeserver-dar2 contrib
from manually configured sme7contribs repo. All went well and DAR2 functions
for backups. Then installed the dar2-mc plugin as per wiki here
http://wiki.contribs.org/DAR2#Midnight_Commander_.28MC.29_dar-extension
When highlighting the dar backup file in mc and pressing Enter, mc does not
appear to read or display the file contents. The screen "flashes" momentarily
when performing
cd /opt/dar2-mc
./install.sh
Have tried 3 different dar files.
Have tried reading one of the same dar files on a sme7.5.1 server with dar2-mc
plugin installed, and it reads and displays the contents correctly.
Also noticed the plugin did not work on a sme8b7 test server but I was not able
to follow through with testing and reporting at that time.
Nothing apparent in the messages log file, and I cannot find any log files that
relate to dar2 or midnight commander with relevant information to see what is
happening.
