SME Server 8.0 installed. Attempts at installing and configuring
smeserver-ddclient fail with errors to those listed by Marco Hess on 2011-12-21

The error listed above leads me to believe ddclient is not able to create a
ddclient.conf file. When I tried looking for the file I couldn't find a
directory named //etc/ddclient. I did find a ddclient.conf file in the /etc
directory.
